Green is listed as questionable against the Pistons, which means there is a chance that he suits up. If not, it's a good sign that he's closer to getting back.
So far this season, Green has only played in four games and is averaging 11.8 points. Coming from the Houston Rockets in the Kevin Durant trade, it was uncertain what his role would be with the team, especially with the backcourt already being loaded. They have yet to see what impact he can truly make, and the hope is that he can stay healthy for the second half of the season so he can help them.
With Devin Booker sidelined with an ankle injury and uncertainty surrounding when he'll return, getting Green back would be big for the Suns, and he could bring instant scoring to the team. This is a player who just averaged 21 points per game last season with a team that was the No. 2 seed.
The Suns have done well this season without Green, and they may be one of the biggest surprises of the league, as they're currently 28-19 and are sitting in the seventh seed.
