The Phoneix Suns played a terrific game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday, beating them 114-104. However, Suns guard Devin Booker had an early exit as he was ejected in the third quarter. He received a double technical foul, leaving coach Monty Williams to lead the team to victory using his bench. According to John Gambadoro, the word Booker called the ref that led to his ejection was not so nice:

You can figure the riddle out, but obviously, Booker was frustrated with the officiating, causing him to act out of character. After the game, the Suns star reflected on his ejection, via Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM:

“I just couldn’t believe in such a high intense game, an important game, that it would come to that that quickly,” Booker said via Zoom. “But we have a team and it showed last night. Coach Monty [Williams] and Jae [Crowder] said after the game that we got better, so it helps to know that if stuff goes south — hopefully not in that manner again — you have a full team behind you ready to keep competing.”

Had this ejection come last year, Booker definitely would have seen his team with their heads down in the locker room after a tough loss without their star player.

Now, with responsibility being delegated equally amongst the team with Chris Paul as well, Booker can breathe a little easier. Emotions can get the best of all of us, including one of the best scorers in the NBA. However, it's nice to know that Booker can rely on his Suns teammates even under the toughest of circumstances.
