The Phoenix Suns could reportedly fire first-year head coach Igor Kokoskov, according to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7.

The Suns have the worst record in the Western Conference at 12-50. Current general manager James Jones wasn't the GM who hired Kokoskov. That was Ryan McDonough, who was fired before the season started.

“I do think that this could be it for Igor,” Gambadoro said. “I do believe that this could be the last game. They’ve been humiliated. They’re defeated.”

Phoenix did just snap a 17-game losing streak by beating the Miami Heat on Monday night, so perhaps that has bought Kokoskov more time, if rumors of him being on the hot seat are actually true.

The Suns have been a walking disaster for years. No one expected them to be good this season, but the team should have more than 12 wins at this point in the season.

Phoenix has failed to surround star shooting guard Devin Booker with talent and players who fit around him. The franchise still doesn't have a starting-caliber point guard to run the offense yet.

The good news is that rookie big man Deandre Ayton is averaging double-double on the season and shooting 58.8 percent from the floor. Ayton and Booker are the two franchise cornerstones, but Igor Kokoskov hasn't really developed a good rapport with either of them.

James Jones might look to hire his own coach who has previous experience in the coaching field.
