Tandem: A Tale of Shadow‘s release date is on October 21, 2021, coming out on Steam, PS4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.

The game's premise begins with the mysterious disappearance of Thomas Kane, the son of famous illusionists. Players switch between two characters—Emma and her teddy bear Fenton—to get to the bottom of this mystery. They will encounter intricate puzzles in two dimensions as they wander deeper into the heart of the Kanes' Manor.

Moreover, the characters offer different mechanics and traits. Through Emma, players wield the lantern to create shadow patterns that Fenton can then walk on. By controlling Emma from the top view and Fenton from the side view as a gravity-bending perspective, players must get creative with solving the puzzles in a collaborative way—hence the title Tandem.

Inside the Manor, the duo are thrust into five dazzling yet creepy worlds, reminiscent of 19th century Victorian era styles. With over 40 levels and an entirely 3D graphic style, Tandem promises exciting gameplay through the variety of enemies and bosses that Emma and Fenton will face.

The puzzle platformer community will not have to wait long until they can dive into the creepy world of Tandem. Soon, players can test out just how challenging the puzzles are to solve from two different yet complementary perspectives.
