The North Carolina Tar Heels were blown out by the Marquette Golden Eagles on Wednesday, leading to a memorable postgame spat by Roy Williams.

Following his team's lopsided loss, Williams name-dropped the Los Angeles Lakers while answering a question about the game:

Roy Williams was asked by a reporter if he would've scheduled the game against Marquette if he had known that North Carolina would play like they did. He said he wouldn't have scheduled the contest had he known his team would lose.

In addition, he uttered that if someone told him they would schedule a game against the Lakers and win, he'd do it immediately. Seeing the struggles Los Angeles has had recently, losing four games in a row, it's interesting that Williams would mention them in his postgame rant.

During Wednesday's rare non-conference home loss to Marquette, North Carolina scored the first two points in the game. However, that was the last time the Tar Heels would have a lead in the game as Marquette went on a 14-2 run after that.

The Golden Eagles ultimately dominated the entire game and shot 51.8 percent from the floor, compared to North Carolina shooting 41.7 percent from the floor. Also, Marquette converted 80 percent of their 20 free-throw attempts while North Carolina only made 68.2 percent of their 22 free-throw tries en route to an 83-70 loss.

With the tournament right around the corner, the Tar Heels are in an uncertain spot as they hold an average 14-8 record. Following Wednesday's disappointing defeat at home, Roy Williams made it clear he'd face anyone if he knew he was going to win, even if it meant facing the Lakers.
