Manny Obaseki, a four-star guard prospect out of the 2021 college basketball recruiting class, is going to be checked in on by the Texas Longhorns. This will all go down on Monday and head coach Shaka Smart will be the one to see the young man.

This news was relayed to the masses on the mean streets of Twitter by Rivals and Stockrisers reporter Jake Weingarten, who also mentioned there was previously a chance the kid could decide to join the 2020 grouping. According to Weingarten, that is no longer the case.

The TCU Horned Frogs, Arkansas Razorbacks and Illinois Fighting Illini all previously offered Manny Obaseki a deal.

The Oklahoma Sooners are also in the mix, as are several other quality programs.

Not only do all reputable recruiting service outlets have Manny Obaseki pegged as a four-star caliber player, but most tend to agree he’s one of the 35 (or so) best players in the entire 2021 recruiting class.

Nevertheless, only time will tell if Shaka Smart and the Texas Longhorns do enough to lure the young man to their program.
