Andre Roberson of the Oklahoma City Thunder is now injury-free and off and ready for training camp.

To recall, the defensive stalwart missed all of last year as he underwent rehabilitation for his left knee. He played a mere 39 games in 2017-18 for the Thunder before rupturing his left patellar tendon.

Roberson was a member of the 2017 NBA All-Defensive Second Team. In the same year, he re-signed with the Thunder to a three-year, $30 million contract.

As the team's best defender, Roberson almost always guards the best offensive player of the opposing team. His lack of shooting touch is his main weakness, but he makes up for it by hustling and grinding on every play.

The 2019-20 season marks the first season of the Thunder's rebuilding. They certainly have the leverage when placed side-by-side against other rebuilding teams. After all, they have a decent crop of players in Steven Adams, Danilo Gallinari, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, as well as three first-round picks in 2022, 2024, and 2026.

Not to mention Chris Paul, who is still a great asset to any type of team despite his hefty salary.

When a team is in rebuild mode, pieces might be moved. Roberson should take this chance to prove that he deserves to be part of the Thunder's future.
