A summer of bad decisions took Kevin Durant from championship glory to some regrettable choices with his latest social media snafu, where he ripped into his former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder and even his former head coach Billy Donovan.

While he apologized a day after the finding at a tech conference in San Francisco, many were left hurt by his comments, sinking an already painful dagger even deeper.

Donovan noted in Monday's Media Day press conference that he “did communicate” with Durant after reading the tweets, but ultimately said he enjoyed his time with him and their relationship during their short time together in Oklahoma City.

Despite the controversy, Donovan will have a much heftier task at hand, figuring out how to get three top-notch scoring talents on the floor together, divvying up shot distribution and roles to be played after the recent acquisition of Carmelo Anthony, according to Brett Dawson of The Oklahoman.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and nothing will be sweeter for Donovan and his team but to trump the Golden State Warriors in their quest for yet another championship coming into this season.
