Carmelo Anthony's ‘Melo M13' won't be the last model of his Jordan Brand line, at least that's what the new Oklahoma City Thunder forward believes.

In his recent report, ESPN's Nick DePaula has claimed that Jordan Brand is discontinuing Anthony's sneaker series. However, the 33-year-old denied the story and even called it “false news” following their preseason game against the Denver Nuggets.

“It’s false. False,” Anthony said on the news about his shoe line. “Let’s not even discuss that.”

The ten-time All-Star also reiterated that he just signed a new long-term deal with the brand last January, a fact which DePaula highlighted in his piece as well.

“What? No, no. He just told me that just now,” Anthony added. “I just signed an extension with them. I don’t read into false news.”

Carmelo Anthony has been with Jordan Brand since his rookie year, so the report about the halting of his shoe line certainly came as a surprise. Not to mention that he already produced 13 models of his sneakers, the fifth most in NBA history.

Nike, who operates Jordan Brand, is yet to confirm or deny the news about the future of Melo's line. Though, it's safe to say the Thunder star isn't informed of whatever plans they have about his sneakers.
