With Paul George’s home-coming in Indiana over and done with, it’s now Carmelo Anthony’s turn to come home back to New York for the first time since he was traded in the offseason. But for anyone looking to catch that game live, be forewarned: it’ll cost you. A lot.

According to TicketIQ, Melo’s return game to Madison Square Garden is the most expensive since they’ve been keeping track of that sort of ticket price data this decade.

The average asking price for a ticket to that game on the secondary market is $590, a sizable bump from the $426 Kevin Durant’s return game to Oklahoma City with the Warriors last season, per Newsday's Neil Best.

It's also more expensive than LeBron James' much-awaited return to Cleveland when he left for the Miami Heat.

While Anthony was undoubtedly a huge figure in his time with the Knicks, that sky-high price is likely more because of the economics of the New York market compared to Cleveland and Oklahoma City as opposed to Melo’s standing as a returning star. Nevertheless, it figures to be a highly intriguing game to see Melo back at MSG for the first time.

It would be much more intriguing if the Knicks, who will have a better record than Anthony and the Thunder coming in, have Kristaps Porzingis available for that game. However, Porzingis remain questionable following the knee injury which saw him exit the Knicks’ game against the Brooklyn Nets early.
