Carmelo Anthony has been a natural scorer his whole career. He's done it at every single NBA spot in his career, and has continued his prolific production as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Because Anthony is always filling it up, it was just a matter of time that he would start making his way into the upper echelon of the NBA in terms of scoring. Recently, Anthony passed Patrick Ewing for 21st on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He has 24,843 points, and is not far back from Jerry West at No. 20.

In a session with the media, Anthony gave this thoughts on climbing the all-time list and said he did not know he passed Ewing a few games ago.

“I look at the list,” Anthony said. “I think it's something that's fun. I think it's something I can appreciate, I can accept kinda that challenge.”

From the looks of it, Anthony will definitely pass West (25,192) and Reggie Miller (25,279) this season. But after that, it would be a bit more difficult.

With Anthony just starting to come out of his prime, it will be interesting just how far he can climb up the list. He's not near retirement yet, but he is over 33 years old and has played over 14 seasons in the NBA.

Anthony has also won for gold medals for the USA Basketball team, and has been to the playoffs in a few seasons. He has a lot of basketball mileage on him.

This season for the Thunder, he's averaging 17.6 points per game, the lowest of his career, per Basketball Reference.
