Oklahoma City Thunder point guard and NBPA president Chris Paul announced Michelle Obama will address players in the bubble, per Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.

The former First Lady will reportedly speak about the importance of voting.

The players have not been shy about dedicating media time to the importance of social justice issues and matters of racial equality.

Numerous players have even refused to speak about basketball altogether, instead focusing on–among other things–demanding justice for Breonna Taylor.

Michelle Obama's impending chat with the players also has particular pertinence within league circles.

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has spearheaded a voting rights group entitled “More Than A Vote,” and the group is already working to ensure ex-felons in the state of Florida can vote after the state legislature mandated ex-felons had to pay outstanding court debts.

James has established a coalition of current and former NBA players to join him in building “More Than A Vote,” including Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young and Miami Heat mainstay Udonis Haslem.

Additionally, Paul announced the players have agreed to a $300 million fund, which will be used for donations to different causes.

Paul has quite the responsibility as the voice of the players. He was at the center of discussions with the NBA regarding the league's messaging once play resumed in Orlando, one of the many concerns voiced by players around the league in June.

However, it seems the players are really committed to standing for something more than just basketball. Aside from keeping the focus on social justice initiatives, the players also appear to be taking some time to educate themselves, with the help of the former First Lady.
