At the moment, top prospect Paolo Banchero is being projected as the No. 3 pick in the upcoming 2022 NBA Draft, where he would be heading to join Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets. The other two teams that will be selecting at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, are the Orlando Magic and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The former Duke standout has made his feelings known about one of these two teams abundantly clear.

Banchero got brutally honest about his true feelings about the Thunder. According to the 6-foot-10 forward, he has no affinity towards OKC whatsoever:

“I grew up with the Sonics a little bit, I was like 6 I think when they left, so I never liked the Thunder,” Banchero said (h/t NBA Retweet on Twitter).

Banchero did not mince words here as he said straight up that he just doesn't like the Thunder. If this is not a blatant way to rule himself out as a potential prospect for Oklahoma City then I don't know what is.

I'm sure that Banchero is well aware of the draft projections and he knows that he's unlikely to go No. 1 overall to the Magic (although at this point, you never know). The 19-year-old appears to have his sights set on Houston at No. 3 and he's made it very clear here that he does not want anything to do with the Thunder.
