After he got traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the offseason, Paul George thought he'd still have the time to go fishing, which is one of his hobbies. However, his move to his new city has not translated to as much fishing as he would’ve liked, but also stated something that the team’s fans will definitely be pleased about.

During a fishing event, the 27-year-old Fresno State product said he is hoping he will have a summer to spend in Oklahoma City to fish more. He also added that he is looking forward to go out more as the season progresses.

George will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, and he is expected to receive a lot of interest from teams around the league. He has made it known in the past that he prefers to play for his hometown team, the Los Angeles Lakers, but would also consider staying with the Thunder if they’ll have a lot of success in the playoffs.

Although his team had a slow start, they are now starting to string a few wins together, and have won their last two games. That said, they saw their record improve to 6-7 so far, with George averaging solid numbers this year of 22.5 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.5 steals through 13 games.

If he continues performing at a high level, not only will he have more chances to fish, but he can also help the Thunder make a deep run in the playoffs, and could even win it all this season.
