Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Paul George knocked down a game-winning three-pointer to give his team an all-important win on Tuesday night.

George hit a three-pointer with 1.8 seconds left to play in the game en route to a 112-111 victory over the Houston Rockets at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City. The win against the Rockets was a big one for the Thunder, as it could eventually help them earn a better seeding in the 2019 NBA Playoffs.

The Thunder scored their 48th win against 33 defeats, and moved up to sixth spot in the Western Conference standings. Entering the game, the Thunder still have a chance to move down to eighth, which would mean a first-round showdown with the Golden State Warriors.

But with the win against the Rockets, the Thunder just needs to win their final regular season game to clinch the sixth spot. They will be going up against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks are the top-seeded team in the league this season, but they will be playing without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez on Wednesday.

If the Thunder hold on to the sixth spot in the West, they will face either the Denver Nuggets or the Rockets in the first round. The Nuggets are currently second in the West with their 53-28 record, but the Rockets are not far behind at third with their 53-29 record.

The Nuggets need to win against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Wednesday to finish second in the West. If they lose to the already-eliminated Timberwolves, they will fall to third. They will tie the 53-29 record of Houston, but the Rockets hold the advantage after winning in three of their four meetings this season.
