Oklahoma City Thunder fans jumped for joy when they saw Paul George's tweet on Thursday.

George, who underwent surgery to his right rotator cuff and left labrum after the Thunder’s season ended, says both of his shoulders are healthy now:

George was clearly not 100 percent toward the end of the regular season and in the 2019 playoffs. It’s good that PG13 got the surgery done so he can be 100 percent for the 2019-20 season.

George averaged 28.0 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists this past season for the Thunder while shooting 43.8 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from beyond the arc and 83.9 percent from the free-throw line.

Both George and OKC star point guard Russell Westbrook underwent surgeries after the postseason ended. The Thunder lost to the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs in five games.

George could potentially miss the entire 2019-20 preseason schedule. Thunder general manager Sam Presti recently said George is expected to make a full recovery. As we saw this past year, it's not how you start in the NBA, but how you finish. The Thunder would rather have a 100 percent Paul George for the stretch run of the season.

George will make $33,005,556 next season. He signed a four-year, $136.9 million maximum contract with OKC in the summer of 2018.
