Russell Westbrook was appreciative of his teammate Steven Adams this morning. But this wasn't for another screen assist, a boxout allowing him to snatch some extra rebounds, or another timely double-double — just a simple stroke of the razor.

Adams was back on his native New Zealand during his offseason and bumped into two Oklahoma natives, gladly posing for a photo with them.

The near-7-footer was a lot better groomed than his usual unkempt mustache during the NBA season, thing Westbrook didn't let slip.

Westbrook isn't the kind to give thanks just to give them, instead saving them for moments like Thanksgiving of accepting an MVP trophy — yet this was a moment worth dishing a “thank you for shaving,” even if it likely won't last for long.
