Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams hauled in a career high in rebounds, snatching 23 off the glass during a rousing 132-113 win over the Sacramento Kings. Following the win, Adams didn't make much of what was undoubtedly his best performance in the young season, noting he did nothing differently this time around:

“No, I couldn't care less, mate,” said the nonchalant Kiwi after the best glass-cleaning effort of his six-year career. “Honestly, it was one of those nights where they did a hell of a job boxing out, but man, you just get a s**t bounce.

“They were just coming my way, the bounces, it's just one of those things, mate. I wasn't doing anything different that I normally do. They were just bouncing my way. So … cheers.”

Couldn't expect a different response from the “long hair, don't care” Adams, who also scored 20 points, giving him a sizable 20-20 effort in what was his most significant contribution of 2018-19.

The win propelled the Thunder to second place in the West after the Golden State Warriors lost to the Utah Jazz, giving OKC a slim advantage, having played two less games than the defending champs.

Adams ensnared nine of his 23 boards off the offensive glass, hit an effective 8-of-12 from the field and all four of his free-throw attempts, as the entire starting lineup scored in double figures.

The Thunder spanked the Kings on the glass, outrebounding them 66 to 43 while shooting a sparkling 50 percent from the floor on 102 attempts, most courtesy of Adams' nonstop motor.
