New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter came back to his old stomping grounds of Oklahoma City to take part in Game 5 of the Thunder, this time as an spectator, as they host the Utah Jazz.

Kanter announced his visit to former frontcourt partner Steven Adams, who is sure he will be welcomed with open arms, despite being traded by the team along with Doug McDermott for Carmelo Anthony in the last offseason.

“I knew he was coming, should be good,” said Adams. “I'm pretty sure he'll get quite the reception…claps…it would be funny if he doesn't.”

The Stache Bros will reunite for the first time since Dec. 16, when the Knicks hosted the Thunder, handing them a 111-96 loss.

Kanter has been a beloved character for every franchise he's played with — the Jazz, the Thunder, and now the Knicks — endearing himself to the fan base due to his competitive approach and his camaraderie with his teammates.

Oddly enough, he will have a bittersweet feeling to this game, watching his most recent team fight for their playoff lives, down 3-1 against his other former team in the Jazz, whom he played for from 2011-14.
