Late in the third quarter between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit Pistons, Andre Roberson was stretchered off the court according to CJ Fogler:

At the time of the play, it was unclear what the extent of Roberson's injury was. Unfortunately, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the 26-year-old suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in the preliminary report:

In addition, there is still testing to be done to determine the full severity of Roberson's leg injury:

For Roberson and the Thunder, this is unfortunate timing as they are playing at a high level, winning seven consecutive games. With the fifth-year guard expected to miss significant time, head coach Billy Donovan will need to rely on Terrance Ferguson and Alex Abrines. If Oklahoma City feels they need more experience at shooting guard, it will be interesting to see if general manager Sam Presti becomes more aggressive as the February trade deadline approaches.

For the NBA, the last 24 hours have not been kind to the players. Along with Roberson, DeMarcus Cousins suffered a season-ending Achilles injury against the Houston Rockets on Jan. 26 as Mike Conley will undergo season-ending surgery on his left heel.
