The Oklahoma City Thunder have officially hit the reset button as they have already traded All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George. However, they still need to decide on whether or not Chris Paul and Danilo Gallinari will be part of their future. According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, one possibility that OKC will most likely explore throughout the course of the season is trading both veterans to help jumpstart their rebuild.

But league sources fully expect the Thunder to explore trading Chris Paul and Danilo Gallinari to continue their rebuild following the Russell Westbrook and Paul George blockbusters this summer. Trading Gallinari wouldn’t be difficult, provided he’s healthy. Finding a new home for Paul will be tough. He’s 34, has an injury history, and is owed $124 million over the next three years. That deal is terrifying. Paul can help himself and the Thunder out by excelling this season. All it takes is one team to bite.

As mentioned above, trading Gallinari will be easy, as his expiring contract will definitely attract several teams who'd want to free up some cap space. The 31-year-old forward just had a strong 2018-19 season with the Los Angeles Clippers, where he averaged 19.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists.

The same thing cannot be said about CP3, as teams wouldn't want to pay an aging veteran $124 million over the next three years. He still managed to put up 15.6 points and 8.2 assists last season, but his health will also play a factor in whether a team will be interested in trading for him or not. The Thunder might also be open to a buy-out, but that'll only be an option if Paul will agree to shed his guaranteed money just so a deal could be done.

At this point, Paul and Gallinari will suit up for the Thunder and help the team be competitive, but whether or not they'll finish the season with the team remains to be seen. OKC will definitely explore its options to ensure that they will get the best assets for both vets, and if they can't, buy-outs will probably be their last resort.
