The NBA is known for doing excellent Christmas Day commercials, and they did not disappoint this holiday.
Budweiser and the NBA teamed up to produce a hilarious commercial that featured some of our favorite players in the league in the role of ‘Elf on a Shelf”. Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma, New York Knicks swingman Tim Hardaway Jr. and Oklahoma City Thunder big man Steven Adams all dressed up to remind us to stay hydrated while enjoying some beer.

The commercial is funny enough by itself, and it gets even better when we get a behind-the-scenes look at Steven Adams during production.
The 7-foot Kiwi was forced into an exaggerated pose with his large frame while shouting “And One!” and “Hydration!.” All this takes place while he is dressed in a ridiculous elf bib.
While it's clear Adams is having a great time off the court, he's been doing pretty well on it as well. The five-year veteran has blossomed into one of the most physically dominant big men and has boosted the Thunder to the second-best defensive rating in the league.
Adams is averaging a career-high 16.1 points and 9.9 rebounds, along with 1.4 steals and 0.8 blocks per contest. He is also shooting an extremely effective 60 percent from the field, mostly consisting of putback dunks and lobs.
Adams has played well enough to be a key piece on a team with championship aspirations. Hopefully, he can help the Thunder to a deep playoff run while reminding them to stay hydrated.
