Former Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nick Collison is no longer playing in the NBA, but that hasn't stopped ex-teammate Steven Adams from doing his routine handshake with his fellow big man.

Thunder players are known for their entertaining handshakes, with Russell Westbrook usually leading the rituals.

However, Adams and Collison developed their own handshake. It involved a stern handshake followed by a wordless staredown, then a brisk separation.

Now that Collison is gone, Admas has to perform this ritual by himself, with hilarious results.

Adams and Stevens formed a strong bond when Adams was drafted by the Thunder as the 12th pick in the 2013 draft. Collison was no longer playing a starting role for the team at the time, but his leadership and veteran knowledge played a key factor in developing Adams into the player he is today.

After one season, Collison had groomed Adams into a center who would start almost 90 percent of the Thunder's games up to this point.

Besides helping shape the Thunder's future center, Collison played an important role in the Thunder's fairly successful run as a franchise.

The Iowa native spent his entire career as a Seattle SuperSonic and Thunder player when the franchise moved to Oklahoma. He posted career averages of 5.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 53 percent shooting.

While these numbers might not impress, Collison was known as the glue that helped a Thunder team come together and work as a team.

The Thunder are in great hands with Adams as their center, but Collison is still missed by the franchise.
