The Minnesota Timberwolves will be without one of their points guards for the rest of the game against the Golden State Warriors as Derrick Rose will miss the remainder of the night due to a sore ankle.

After coming off a career-high 50 points his last outing, Rose won't be able to show what he has left for the rest of this game. Before exiting, he had three points and two assists in only four minutes of play.

The Timberwolves are already without Jeff Teague. So, at the point guard position, they are down to just Tyus Jones. The Warriors and Timberwolves are in a close battle. The absence of Derrick Rose could hurt the team later on in the game and possibly more if he has to sit out a game or two.

It is not known how severe the injury is and if he is going to get any MRIs. With Rose out for the game and the Timberwolves down another point guard, the team will need to rally against a tough Warriors team the rest of the way and possibly against more teams if he has to sit out a couple of games, as a precaution.

So far this season, Derrick Rose is averaging 18.8 points, five assists, and four rebounds per game. He is averaging 44.1 percent from the field and 34.6 percent from three-point range.

Rose has had a big contribution to this team so far this season and if he is out more than one game, they could be in trouble early on.
