Former Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner elected to hit free agency during the MLB offseason. With the superstar infielder hoping to secure a mega deal on the open market, he teamed up with Hollywood A-lister Jon Hamm in order to create an epic highlight reel for part of his pitch to interested teams.
With Hamm commentating, the two created an epic sizzle reel that will supply all the evidence a team needs to commit their financial future to Turner. As if his play on the field wasn’t convincing enough, now he’s got Hamm in his corner promoting him as one of the game’s best.
Turner is one of the biggest names in the free agency class this year, joining the likes of Jacob deGrom, Aaron Judge, and many other stars. He figures to collect a jaw-dropping payday after another sensational season for the Dodgers.
In 2022, Turner slashed .298/.343/.466 with 21 home runs, 100 RBI, a career-high 39 doubles, and 27 stolen bases. It was the second 20-20 season of his career, and also his second consecutive time joining the exclusive club.
There will be a plethora of teams in the market for a shortstop, so there will be no shortage of suitors for Turner once free agency officially gets underway. At 29 years old, Turner figures to get a long-term deal that will lock him up for the rest of his prime and then some, though the exact monetary figures remain to be seen.
Turner headlines a free agency class of shortstop consisting of Carlos Correa, Xander Bogaerts, and Dansby Swanson, all of whom figure to have sizable markets with many teams involved.
