The Minnesota Twins won the Carlos Correa sweepstakes last week, signing the former Houston Astros shortstop to a three-year deal worth around $35 million per season and an opt-out option in the final two years of his deal.
It's just the early days of his tenure with the organization, but Correa is already loving everything about the Twins and the city of Minnesota.
Why Carlos Correa said he loves the Twin Cities/Twins: 1. Family atmosphere 2. Batter’s Eye at Target Field (1.205 OPS there) 3. Juicy Lucy burgers

Correa has a 1.205 OPS at Target Field and loves the family atmosphere around this team. Also, Juicy Lucy Burgers. Apparently, that place is legit. The Twins were never really seen as a suitor for the All-Star, but they swooped in and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
There is always the chance Correa opts out after 2022 and hits free agency again, but if he has a big year and Minnesota contends, it's hard to imagine the former first overall pick doing so. Correa is coming off an impressive 2021, hitting .279 with 26 home runs and 92 RBIs with the Astros, helping them make yet another World Series. However, Houston was beaten by the Atlanta Braves.
It will be a transition for Correa to go from the hot weather of Texas to the cold of Minneapolis, but it shouldn't be too much of an issue. The Twins are just happy to have him.
