The Minnesota Twins certainly aren't the best division leader in the MLB, but they're a division leader nonetheless. The Twins have a five game lead on the second place Cleveland Guardians, and seem poised for a postseason appearance. The AL Central has been an enigma this season, and has been the worst division in baseball in recent years. To put things in perspective, the last wild card team in the American League is the Texas Rangers, who are in third place in the AL West. The Rangers are 6.5 games ahead of the Twins. Still, if the Twins hold onto the division, they'll be in the playoffs, and star shortstop Carlos Correa likes what is being built in Minnesota right now.

“You have me, Bregman, McCullers and all those guys coming in and just shaping the team and the holes that they had,” Carlos Correa said according to an article from The Star Tribune. “I see that here with Julien, Wallner, Royce. It's just players that are going to be stars in this game for a long time and they're stepping up their rookie year.”

Having that young core is huge for the Twins. Those guys are only going to better with more experience in the league, and Correa knows that they are headed in the right direction.

The last month of the season has potential to be a stressful one for Twins fans. Minnesota has that five game lead, but in just a few days that can get much less comfortable. There's no shot at a wild card spot for the AL Central, so it's division title or bust for the Twins. It'll be fun to watch the final month play out.
