After becoming a video game character as a Fortnite skin, prolific Twitch streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Bevins, will once again become a digital character. This time he will appear as a playable champion in Raid: Shadow Legends. His character launches on July 16. Additionally, the caracter will also be free to all players for three months.

Ninja will discuss more about his partnership with Raid: Shadow Legends developers Plarium Global in a July 19 live stream. In an exclusive trailer, he details what inspired his character. “I'm a huge Sephiroth fan, so that was my little inspiration behind what it looked like,” he said. Ninja continues to add that he was “a lot more involved with this character.” Additionally, he also “gave way more direction” regarding its looks, weapons, and abilities.

He will be joining the more than 500-strong Raid: Shadow Legends roster. The character will be playable across single-player, Dungeons, Arena, Faction Wars, Doom Tower, and other modes.

Raid: Shadow Legends is a free-to-play mobile turn-based RPG. As of January last year, it has also been ported to PC. The game also has gacha-style elements. It features a twelve-chapter single-player campaign, with each chapter having seven stages. There are various multiplayer elements integrated into the experience. For example, a player can join clans and compete with other player's rankings. Ninja's addition to the game is just one of its many collaborations.
