Los Angeles Lakers fans are finally seeing LeBron James and Lonzo Ball share the floor as teammates Wednesday night, as the Purple and Gold put themselves on a preseason acid test against the reigning NBA champions, Golden State Warriors.

So far, the two players are not disappointing their team’s supporters. In fact, James and Ball have already teamed up for a sweet highlight that can be considered as a preview of what’s to come from the duo once the regular season kicks off.

Here’s James finding a cutting Ball for an alley-oop dunk by last year’s second-overall pick.

Ideally, it should be Lonzo Ball who’s dropping that kind of dimes to LeBron James, but it’s not unusual for the four-time league MVP to issue such assists. James and Ball are two gifted playmakers, each with an extremely rare type of court vision.

Last year, James posted an incredible stat line of 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 9.1 assists in 82 games for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Ball, on the other hand, wasn’t too shabby with 10.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 7.2 assists averages in his first year in the league.

But besides the strong rapport shown by James and Ball during that highlight play, it’s the pep in the latter’s step that adds to Lakers fans’ optimism for the team. Ball is coming off an offseason knee surgery, but his bounce is seemingly back.
