Washington Redskins running back Derrius Guice wasn't going to let the bitter rivalry between the LSU Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide stop him from doing a good deed.

When a man wearing a Crimson Tide jacket approached Guice, who played college football in Baton Rouge, asking for money at a gas station, the Redskins’ rookie initially and jokingly turned him away. Some moments later, Guice asked the ‘Bama fan to come back before handing him a $100 bill.

A hundred dollars is nothing to scoff at, but it’s nothing compared to the $1.99 million in guaranteed money Guice got when he signed a four-year deal with Washington last May.

Washington selected the LSU product in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft, but he has yet to see action in the regular season due to an ACL injury he suffered during a preseason game against the New England Patriots back in August.

Derrius Guice may not be over the Tigers’ embarrassing 29-0 loss to Alabama at home earlier this month, but it’s clearly not a reason for him to reject someone in need, and he can hope that Alabama fan will cheer for him once he’s ready to hit the field again in 2019.

In three years at LSU, Guice racked up 3,074 rushing yards and 29 touchdowns to go with 250 receiving yards and three scoring receptions.
