On Tuesday, Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen returned to practice after missing the previous two games with a hamstring injury. On Wednesday, he was out of practice again, per Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.
What this means for Thielen's status against the Seattle Seahawks next Monday remains to be seen, but the fact that he didn't participate in practice on Wednesday is obviously not a great sign.
Of course, this could just be the Vikings being extra cautious with their prized wide out, so we'll probably find out more when they release their injury report on Thursday.
Thielen initially sustained the hamstring injury back in Week 7 during Minnesota's win over the Detroit Lions. He was sidelined for Week 8 and returned in Week 9, but left early after re-aggravating the issue.
On the season, Thielen has logged 27 catches for 391 yards and six touchdowns.
The 29-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Minnesota State, went undrafted but eventually landed with the Vikings in 2014.
Thielen's first couple of years in Minnesota were largely uneventful, as he tallied just eight grabs for 137 yards and a score during his rookie campaign and followed that up by totaling 12 catches for 144 yards in 2015.
However, in 2016, Thielen broke out, catching 69 passes for 967 yards while reaching the end zone five times. Then, in 2017, Thielen made his first Pro Bowl after hauling in 91 receptions for 1,276 yards and four touchdowns.
The Detroit Lakes, Mn. native was even better last season, snaring 113 balls for 1,373 yards and nine scores.
The Vikings are 8-3 thus far in 2019.
