Could we have another “bloody sock” game on Saturday curiosity of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen? The Vikings star wideout was injured during practice after being stepped on by a teammate during practice. He had to have his ankle stitched up but is still expected to play according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

He isn't practicing leading up to the game to try to let the ankle heal again, but once the game starts, he is expected to be on the field. There is a chance when he is on the field, that the sutures could come to the surface, which could make for another famous moment.

Back in 2004, Curt Schilling became a cult-hero for his bloody sock game. During the American League Championship Series, Schilling led the Red Sox to a victory over the Red Sox, with a bad ankle and a bloody sock.

“I just got a little tangled up in practice but I’m going to do whatever it takes — it’s playoffs,” Thielen said on NFL Network Thursday. “I’ll do whatever it takes to be out there on Saturday with my teammates and try to help this team win.”

If those stitches start to fail him, it isn't going to hold Thielen off the field, but there will probably be some blood involved. If Thielen has a bloody sock and makes a few clutch catches late in the game, it could be a story that is talked about for years. Thielen is already a hometown star in Minnesota, and this would add to his legacy.
