Adrian Peterson will face his former team in the Minnesota Vikings On Thursday night, but one of his former teammates didn't appear to be a fan of his. While speaking on the Purple Daily podcast, Alex Boone absolutely ripped Peterson for how he acted in Minnesota.

Boone, a retired offensive lineman, played with the Vikings in 2016—Peterson's final year in Minnesota. The retired offensive guard went as far as to say that Peterson is the “Definition of why you shouldn't meet your heroes. Ever”.

During that 2016 season, Boone recalls a game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15 that they lost 34-6. In the game, Peterson apparently pulled himself out of the game despite not having an injury. He also fumbled the ball and blamed it on the offensive line.

Hearing someone speak negatively on Peterson is rare as he is a beloved character in Minnesota. Peterson was drafted by the Vikings in 2007 and spent his first 10 seasons in the NFL with the team.

Throughout his tenure in Minnesota, the veteran running back cemented himself as one of the best running backs in NFL history. Over his 10 seasons with the team, he rushed for 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns.

After he left the Vikings, Peterson has spent time with the Arizona Cardinals and New Orleans Saints. Now, he has spent the past two seasons with the Washington Redskins and is the current starter.

Regardless of where he's played, teammates have usually spoken highly of Peterson. With that being said, the ending of Peterson's career in Minnesota didn't end as both sides imagined it would.
