In the first half of the Minnesota Vikings' Week 14 home matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Dalvin Cook set the franchise record for rushing yards in the first half. Cook consistently gashed a Steelers defense that looks completely lost and disinterested at times.

They are getting sliced up not only by Cook on the ground but by Justin Jefferson through the air. Jefferson had six catches for 67 yards and a score in the first half and would have even more if not for the inaccuracies of Kirk Cousins. With the score of 23-0 at the half, look for Minnesota to ride Cook for the rest of this game, and why not?

Before Cook broke the record on Thursday, Adrian Peterson had the previous record when he got 152 yards in the first half back in 2012. Now Cook now owns it all by himself after a half that saw him run for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Peterson is still regarded as the best runner in franchise history and one of the best all-time, but Cook is taking down his records left and right and might one day be called the greatest Viking RB of all time.

Cook is coming off of a missed game due to a shoulder injury that was originally believed to require a multiple-week absence for the superstar. Cook said no to all that being hurt business and ended up strapping up for this one after just the one missed game. You have to admire the guy for putting his body on the line for the team like that.
