Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt is looking to join his brother in a legendary defensive club in tonight's TNF matchup. The Pro Football Hall of Fame tweeted that Watt is only one sack away from third place for the most sacks by a player in his first five seasons since 1982.

Currently, Reggie White holds the record with 81 sacks, followed by T.J.'s older brother J.J. Watt with 74.5 sacks. If Watt records one or more sacks in the Steelers vs. Vikings game tonight, he will push Hall of Famer Derrick Thomas (66 sacks) out of third place.

This seems like an extremely likely time for Watt to get the job done. He leads the NFL with 16.0 sacks on the season in only ten games. That being said, he averages 1.6 sacks a game.

It doesn't look like Watt will be able to snag his brother's spot, though. Including tonight, Watt has five more regular season games left in his first five years in the league. At the pace he is going, he will most likely finish the season just a few sacks short of his older brother's impressive record of 74.5 sacks.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has recognized Watt's hard work and skills since joining the team. In fact, Big Ben took a pay cut in order for Watt to get paid “whatever the heck he wants.” If it were up to Roethlisberger, Watt would receive the title of Defensive Player of the Year and pick up a few MVP votes.
