The NFL is currently in the midst of quite the forgettable offseason — and for all the wrong reasons. With the Minnesota Vikings and starting quarterback Kirk Cousins not serving as any exception of the rules of a virtual offseason, the veteran signal caller seems to be adapting pretty well with the month of June now looming large.

“Four times a week, starting promptly at 9 a.m., the Vikings quarterback gathers equipment from the garage and arranges it neatly on the long, curved pavement leading from his parents' house to the sidewalk,” writes Kimberley A. Martin of ESPN. “Resting on a wooden chair is his laptop, connected by videoconference to his longtime personal trainer, Chad Cook, who is 450 miles away in Atlanta. This is a glimpse into what constitutes the 2020 NFL offseason.”

This hardly comes as a surprise as Cousins has always been known to be a hard worker, dating all the way back to his days as a member of the Michigan State Spartans. Because the Vikings are expected to contend in both the NFC North and NFC as a whole in 2020, Cousins will most definitely need to be prepared when the time comes to re-take the field.

Not only that, but the NFC North division will surely be one of the tougher groups in the league this season as both the Vikings and rival Green Bay Packers are currently slated to serve as legitimate threats in the NFC. Even though the Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions are a bit behind the Vikings and Packers, each will be able to hold their own, making the road for Minnesota and Green Bay that much tougher.
