The Minnesota Vikings were worried that they will face the Atlanta Falcons without one of their most important wide receivers due to injury. However, it has been confirmed that Stefon Diggs will be able to play in the Vikings' season opener later today.

Adam Schefter alleviated the fears of many Vikings fans with the update. He announced that the hamstring that kept Diggs from playing his best has now fully recovered.

This is great news for the team. A couple of days ago, they were still uncertain with his condition, only giving him limited minutes during practice. It must be a huge relief for head coach Mike Zimmer that one of his more important players will get to play.

Diggs started with the Vikings in 2015 and was an immediate starter for the franchise. While his rookie numbers didn't impress a lot of people, he was a stable option for a team that was trying to make a deep playoff run.

His best year to date was 2018, where he caught the ball 102 times for 1021 yards and nine receiving TDs. While his catching percentage and yards per reception weren't career highs, he became an important asset to the team.

However, we might not see a lot of catches going Diggs' way this season. Zimmer and the coaching staff have decided to rely less on the passing game and build a more balanced offense. This is meant to keep opposing secondaries guessing as to what they will do.

Other receivers would have cried foul for this tactical change. However, Diggs and fellow wideout Adam Thielen are ready to adjust and play for the win.

With Diggs ready to play, we can expect the Vikings offense to play in full power against the Falcons.
