The 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics got a little heated at times. With two rabid fanbases clashing, it was inevitable that the crowd was going to get into it with the players. The Boston crowd dropping the F-bomb against Draymond Green was just the beginning of that saga.

In the end, though, Draymond Green and the Warriors had the last laugh, besting the Celtics in the Finals to capture the Larry O’Brien trophy. After the game, the Dubs decided to take a page out of Boston fans and jeer Draymond Green, albeit in a more playful manner. (via Anthony Slater)

Warriors rookie Moses Moody did every Dubs fan in the world a solid and streamed the entire chant on his Instagram. (via ClutchPoints)

Draymond Green’s NBA Finals run was one hell of a rollercoaster ride. During the first half of the series, the Warriors veteran looked like a shell of himself. Some fans even went on to call him a liability on the court. The Celtics fanbase also let Draymond hear about it, jeering him during Games 3 and 4 of the series.

As the series went on, though, Green bounced back in a huge way for the Warriors. Slowly but surely, the classic Draymond effect was felt by the Celtics. His tenacious defense and incredible playmaking hounded the Celtics in Game 5. The closeout game 6 was Green at his peak: as he was quite literally all over the floor for the Warriors.

Despite his struggles, the Warriors never gave up on Green. They knew more than anyone just how vital he is to their championship hopes. It’s only fitting that they pay tribute to Green in the most Draymond way possible after their Finals win.
