Klay Thompson just put in his first scrimmage session with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League and unsurprisingly, the All-Star shooting guard made an immediate impact. Thompson apparently made his first 18 shots in practice as he made it abundantly clear that rust isn't going to be an issue for him moving forward.

The Warriors star himself spoke out after his impressive scrimmage session and at this point, he's just raring to go:

“I hate to use the phrase ‘can't wait,' because I love to be present in my life,” Thompson said. via Jack Maloney of CBS Sports. “But I cannot wait. I really, really enjoy being a Warrior.”

The video of Thompson putting up shots in his first full team scrimmage following a two-year injury spell has gone completely viral. Right now, Warriors fans just can't wait to see their star back in action again. As it turns out, Thompson himself feels the exact same way.

Santa Cruz Warriors head coach Seth Cooper provided an update on Thompson after practice. According to Cooper, Klay currently has no restrictions:

“He's cleared for full go, so everything we did was full 100% he was going,” he said. “There was no holding him back. There was no pulling back, it was just letting him go and letting him experience playing all out. He did that, and he looked really good doing it.”

Thompson is expected to make his season debut for the Warriors sometime before Christmas. Right now, it sounds like everything's on track for that highly-anticipated target date.
