Aside from the incredibly tight race for the NBA Playoffs and the play-in tournament, another nip-and-tuck affair that's been exciting to watch is the scoring title duel between Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors and Bradley Beal of the Washington Wizards.
The two flamethrowing guards have absolutely torched the NBA this season with their mind-blowing, emoji-inviting, OMG-inducing scoring performances. Their neck-and-neck battle, however, could see an anticlimactic finish as Beal is out for their next outing against the Atlanta Hawks with a hamstring injury. It's quite possible that he will miss even more games, throwing a wrench into his race with Curry.

This definitely boosts the chances of Curry to win the scoring title. But knowing him, he doesn't want to see Beal hurt. It's quite unfortunate that the Wizards star hurt himself in their last game against the Indiana Pacers. By the way, he scored 50 points in that game.

Curry, however, quickly answered with 49 points against the Oklahoma City Thunder. What's even more impressive is that he did it in just three quarters! He could've gone for 378578954 points had Warriors coach Steve Kerr opted to play him in the final period. But alas, the Warriors need Curry in full shape for the remainder of the regular season.
There's still no latest update on Beal's status. But numerous reports have stated that he's uncertain for the rest of the regular season at least. It couldn't come at a worse time for the Wizards who have been playing well as of late.
As of Sunday, Stephen Curry is averaging 31.9 points per game, while Bradley Beal registers 31.4 points per contest. If our math is correct, they're reallythisclose.
