The Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors kick off the Western Conference Finals on Monday night at the Toyota Center, and given the fact that these two teams are not known for liking each other, chances are high this series will get chippy.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked about the chippiness that this series might provide, and he pointed out the presence of Draymond Green and Chris Paul for an answer.
Kerr said w CP3 and Draymond, two of the most intense guys in the NBA, this series will be chippy. “It would be weird if it were not.”

Green and Paul have both have been known, since they came in the league, as guys who aren’t afraid to mix it up with the other team. They both have their own tactics that they like to use to try to get under the opponents’ skin.
For the Warriors and the Rockets coming into the season, this is the matchup many expected would happen at this point, and for Green, he has been waiting all year.
“Man, we won two championships in three years,” Green said Tuesday night via USA Today. “We’re not about to run off talking about how bad we want to play somebody. We want to win another championship and it don’t matter who is in the way of that. If (you’re) in the way of that, then you happen to be in the way. … However, we got them. Alright, now let’s get it. Let’s get to it now.”
This is going to be an exciting series that should feature a lot of scoring, 3-point shooting, and more than enough trash talk to go around for everyone.
