At one point, the Golden State Warriors were the best team in the NBA. After a few injuries and some bad luck, the team is slipping in the standings every week.

Now that it's official that Stephen Curry is out for the remainder of the season, the road to improvement is a little tougher than the team hoped it would be. With five games left and three other teams within two games of them, the Dubs are now facing the tough challenge of maintaining their Top 4 seed.

For what it's worth, Steve Kerr talked about how much they are concerned about seeding heading into the final few games of the season.

“Well, we're shooting for the highest seed we can get,” Kerr told ClutchPoints. “We're trying to win every game, but not at the expense of health…The main thing is being as healthy as possible and being in a good place mentally, spiritually, and physically going into that first-round matchup, no matter who we play.”

The Warriors are 3-7 in their last 10 games and have a season record of 48-29. Their final five games will be against the Utah Jazz, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and New Orleans Pelicans. The Jazz is the only team guaranteed to make the playoffs.

It's a favorable schedule to some degree, but these final five games will have two sets of back-to-back games. If the Warriors sit Klay Thompson and Draymond Green for one game of each back-to-back, the Dubs can be in serious trouble.

Right now, the Warriors' only focus is the Jazz, who they play on Saturday inside the Chase Center.
