San Francisco, CA – After dominating the first game, it was a bit of a struggle for the Golden State Warriors the second time around. But they still managed to get the victory. After trailing by double digits most of the night, the Warriors battled back in the second half. When the Warriors made their push, it wasn't led by Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, or Draymond Green. It was Kevon Looney.

After the game, Steve Kerr had high praise for his center.

“Loon is kind of everybody's favorite guy,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr told ClutchPoints. “You know, he's so respected in the locker room. He's an incredible pro. Does his job every day. Comes in, whether we play him for ten minutes or 32, his demeanor is the same. His work ethic is the same. He's an incredibly smart player and he sort of gives us a lot of stability that we need. So Loon has been brilliant.”

The Warriors' lone big man had a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds to go with his buckets. Without his contributions, the Warriors might be headed to Dallas with the series tied at one apiece. Instead, they are feeling good with a 2-0 lead. Mainly because of the one player who rarely is mentioned when things are going well for the Warriors.

After Looney carried the team back, Jordan Poole and Curry closed the door on the Mavs. The two-time MVP scored a team-high 32 points, and Poole put in 23 points off the bench. It was a team effort, and everyone played a part in the comeback victory.

Next, the Warriors travel to Memphis where they will attempt to take a 3-0 lead.
