Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr had his reservations about Kevin Durant's quick two technical fouls that saw him get ejected early in the third quarter after arguing a call as he made his way back on defense.

“I thought he deserved the first technical, but I didn’t think he deserved the second one,” said Kerr, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “I was very surprised. I didn’t think he deserved to be ejected. But I think Zach Zarba is one of the best officials in the game, so I’ve got no complaints with Zach.”

Durant barked at referee Zach Zarba after he was fouled twice in one play by Paul Millsap in a 3-point attempt, a missed call he's grown too familiar with since getting another no-call in a would-be four-point play against the Minnesota Timberwolves — one that eventually costed them the game in double-overtime.

It appears the Warriors star forward might have said the magic words, calling him a “b***h a** m*****f****r” after he was whistled for his first technical foul, causing his ejection.

In the play, Paul Millsap makes contact with Durant's waist and also extends his left leg into Durant's air space — two clear reasons to call contact. The hip contact might not have been visible for Zarba, who was right behind Durant, but the leg was obvious, as it was right beneath Durant.

The baseline official also swallowed his whistle, bringing memories to what had just taken place a few days ago in a loss to the Timberwolves when a potential four-point call was whistled as a before-the-shot foul and given no continuation.

Durant was handed a $15,000 fine for his post-game comments about this particular call, while his two technicals against Denver will force him to be on his best behavior for the rest of the season, as he is now one tech away from a one-game suspension.
