There have been plenty of names that are associated with the great Golden State Warriors dynasty and franchise. Don Nelson took over for a long time which led to thrilling runs against stacked odds. Mark Jackson was the one to oversee the early development of the dynasty around Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. But, no other mentor comes faster into the minds of Warriors fans than Steve Kerr. After spending nearly a decade with the squad, his contract will finally need some renewal and Mike Dunleavy Jr. needs to act.

Steve Kerr was asked about his long-term plans with the Warriors dynasty. The mastermind of the three-point revolution remained tight-lipped about any details on his extension, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

“I just prefer not to talk about contracts and I think it is just better that way. We have a great relationship, I do with the front office… So, I am not worried about it at all. There is no deadline. We could do a contract extension on the last day of the season but I am not going to get into any details,” were the words declared by the Warriors head coach.

The team led by Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson are probably entering their last window of title contention. They still prove to be a tough competitor despite this. Only time will tell if they get another championship before the sun sets on their hopes. Will he be around to oversee those last days?
