On Sunday night, the Golden State Warriors suffered a brutal home loss to the Phoenix Suns, just the latest defeat in what has been a month-long stretch full of them.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said on Monday that the Warriors' recent struggles remind him a lot of last season:

“I think this year actually reminds me a lot of last year,” said Kerr, according to Mark Medina of The Mercury News. “I think it's similar. I think if you look historically at any team trying to win multiple titles in a row, get to the Finals year after year, there's a different vibe. As you go, the journey gets harder and there's more adversity, and we saw it at the end of last year. We were able to pull things together and win the title, and we're seeing plenty of adversity this year, and I tell the players every year, there's a reason you pour champagne on each other when it's all said and done, because it is hard.”

Kerr added that the team is still confident because of its track record.

The Warriors currently own a record of 45-21, but they have gone just 4-6 over their last 10 games and have actually lost three games at home during that stretch, including a 33-point blowout loss to the Boston Celtics last week.

Still, prior to this recent malaise, Golden State went on a run where it won 16 of 17 games.

The Dubs will now embark on a four-game road trip, beginning with a matchup against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
