Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr has sent out his congratulatory message to newly-hired Brooklyn Nets head coach Steve Nash.

Kerr took to Twitter to give his vote of confidence for Nash:

Nash was hired by the Warriors in 2015, and he has since served as an advisor for the team. Kerr also showed his appreciation to Nash for everything the Hall of Famer has done for the Dubs over the years, while also stating how he has no doubts about Nash's ability to succeed in his new job.

Steve Nash has absolutely no experience as a head coach, so this move from the Nets does come as a huge surprise for most. Then again, Nash spent several years working alongside one of the best coaches in the league today in Kerr, and it is likely that Nash picked up a thing or two from the three-time NBA champion coach.

Nevertheless, there is no denying that this is a huge risk for Brooklyn. Several veteran coaches were linked to the team previously, and literally all of them were more qualified — on paper, at least — for the job than Nash is at the moment. The Nets front office put all that aside and have taken a huge gamble on Nash.

Then again, we've seen this story before. You need not look any further than Kerr himself, who was appointed by the Warriors as their new coach in 2014 without any coaching experience in the league. We all know how that turned out, and for Brooklyn, this is exactly what they're hoping for with Nash.
