The Washington Football Team's season is pretty much a wrap. After losing to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, it might be time for this team to focus on the offseason. However, some of the players might have had other things on their minds in Week 16, as teammate Deshazor Everett was hospitalized due to a car crash. Head coach Ron Rivera provides an update.
According to Nicki Jhabvala, Rivera provides an uplifting update on Everett's current status. He obviously sustained some injuries from the car crash, however, he's been discharged from the hospital. This is an incredibly tough time for Everett, as he lost his girlfriend Olivia Peters in the crash that happened on Thursday.
This is a crushing time for Deshazor Everett, as his life changed at that moment. It seems Washington is doing everything they can for Everett as it appears the crash was purely an accident. We'll see if Everett returns to football. For now, he's healing and mourning the loss of his girlfriend.
As for Washington, they're still in the mix for a potential playoff spot. Although it's a long shot, there is still a chance. They need to win out and need some losses from their opponents. For that reason, we should see this team do everything they can to be competitive. After that embarrassing loss to the Cowboys, many have lost hope for this franchise's chances at the postseason.
As for Deshazor Everett, hopefully, he recovers quickly and returns to football when he's ready.
