Things don't look good for Chelsea after the club's latest talks with Willian. The winger, who has spent each of his last seven seasons with the club, has turned down a two-year extension offer and is likely to depart once The Blues give the Champions League one last crack — attempting to overcome a 3-0 hole at the feet of Bayern Munich.

Willian, who missed Chelsea's FA Cup final loss to Arsenal over the weekend, is seeking a three-year contract, a deal that the Gunners have been happy to comply with, according to The Guardian. The Brazilian international has also been linked to Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, though the move is rather unlikely.

His agent, Kia Joorabchian, claimed last week that his client had offers from five clubs – two in the Premier League, two in Europe and one in Major League Soccer, which required him to report by July 1.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been hellbent in keeping the trusty Willian, despite the club recently bolstering its midfield with the signings of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech. The Blues also have their crosshairs in Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz.

However, the club's board has been unwilling to extend a three-year deal to the 31-year-old Willian.

While Chelsea's roster looks promising for the future, their imminent matchup with German champion Bayern Munich could look grim, not only because of the 3-0 deficit but their lack of available players.

Lampard's side has Christian Pulisic, César Azpilicueta, Pedro, and Billy Gilmour out with injuries, while Jorginho and Marcos Alonso are out due to suspensions — making Willian's selection all the more imperative.
