After watching The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix, you'd probably itching to go back to the Northern Kingdoms to slay monsters. There are a couple of versions of The Witcher 3 out now, which even includes a Nintendo Switch version. But where is the next-gen consoles version? Is it even coming out any time soon? And what would be new for that version? We talk about those, along with The Witcher 3 release date for PS5 and the Xbox Series X in this article.

The Witcher 3 Release Date for PS5 and Xbox Series X: Q2 2022

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt first came out in 2015 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. With that said, the game can still be played on next-gen consoles using the previous-gen versions, allowing players to experience the game in 4K upscaled HD graphics. However, everyone's still looking for the next-gen version of the game. CD Projekt Red originally planned the next-gen console release sometime in 2021, but it was pushed back to Q2 2022 thanks to the teams being busy fixing Cyberpunk 2077. In making the HD Remaster of the game for the next-gen consoles, CD Projekt Red has sought the assistance of talented modders in The Witcher community.
